Rhea - Formerly Biana

Heres the story of Rhea - formerly Biana - from her forever family. She was flown up from Puerto Rico in 2021.
"We chose to foster after seeing a post from our local dog park group asking for people to foster puppies. I had never done it before but wanted to offer a home to a pup that needed love even if only temporarily. On a Friday I drove from Nashua NH to pick up a pup in Randolph MA, about 75 minutes from my house. When I arrived Nicole asked me if I had any preference on what type or gender of pup to foster. I said no. She came out of the house next with a little piece of my heart I didn’t know was missing. The little skinny but bloated black puppy was adorable. She, (Biana at the time), came from Puerto Rico earlier that week with 9 siblings. She had been found living with her littermates among garbage and rocks on the side of a hill. She was timid and tiny. It was a long ride back to NH where she shook and looked terrified. When I got her home she was introduced to my 1 year old lab mix rescue (Riley). They were instant friends. I knew immediately I wanted to keep her but I had agreed to my husband prior to fostering that this was temporary commitment. When my husband got home from work he met the little pup and liked her but reconfirmed he did not want another dog permanently. That night when I put, Rhea, as we had begun to call her, in her kennel Riley cried and scratched the caged and made such a stink that we brought Rhea to our bed to sleep with us and Riley. My favorite memory from that night other than Rhea slept as close to my heart as she could- was that she was a cloud of farts. I still laugh when I think about her passing gas all night. As the week went on each day that went by I asked if my husband loved her yet. Because Riley and I absolutely did. He would firmly answer no at first and then “we can’t keep her.” Finally 1 week after I picked her up I got the email I was dreading - someone submitted an application for sweet baby angel Rhea.
When I decided to foster I truly went in with the intention of providing a safe transitional home to some sweet doggos. However within a few hours of nurturing this sweet sensitive girl, I knew she was meant for our family. I called to set up the meet and greet and get more information. It was the best kind of surprise to hear that the “someone” who put in an application is my incredibly sweet, incredibly understanding husband. He said he loved her from day one. That was 3 years ago. She is the most unique amazing pup. I can’t imagine life without the frisky shy sweet sensible little beauty."
Thank you to Kayla & family for loving this sweet girl & for giving this girl her perfect happy ending.
